Key Responsibilities
- Perform repair and maintenance on refrigeration and air conditioning equipment to a high standard
- Assemble units delivered in a modular format, requiring mechanical, electrical, and refrigeration knowledge
- Work closely with customers, maintaining a professional image and ensuring satisfaction
- Submit paperwork, site reports, expenses, and timesheets promptly
- Report daily activity to the Service Team Leader to ensure availability and productivity
- Collaborate with Service Support Engineers to ensure timely completion of works
- Follow health and safety policies both on-site and at customer locations
- Maintain excellent attendance and work outside normal office hours, including weekends, as needed
Required Education & Qualifications
- Two-year technical degree in HVAC or related field preferred (or substantial relevant experience)
- EPA Type II Certification required (Universal EPA preferred)
- Applicable HVAC licence preferred
- Experience in service, maintenance, and repair of chillers and chiller systems
- Ability to diagnose, service, and repair Close Controls systems
- Experience in data centre/business-critical environments
- Strong electrical experience, with ability to read detailed electrical schematics
- Proficient in A/C refrigeration, understanding superheats, sub-cooling, pressures, and temperatures
- Familiarity with Carel controls navigation
