- Iowa Teaching license- Required
- Endorsement for Instructional Strategist II: ID (264)
- Certified to administer Iowa Alternative Assessments

- Experience working with students with diverse needs in a Level III classroom
- Familiarity with alternative assessments and individualized education programs (IEPs).

Skills
- Strong understanding of differentiation and curriculum modification.
- Effective communication and collaboration with parents, staff, and support teams.
- Proficiency and timeliness in data collection and progress monitoring.

Responsibilities
- Design and implement individualized lesson plans aligned with alternative assessment frameworks.
- Administer and document alternative assessments.
- Support students’ academic, social, and emotional development.
- Initiate and participate in collaboration with general education teachers.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and district regulations.
- Support and facilitate extracurricular access for students assigned to your roster.
- Foster a Level III educational environment that focuses on instructional strategies to enhance learning.
- Support a system that is conducive to para-professional success. This includes strong communication with paraprofessionals assigned to your room.
