Job Summary: The Operator should provide monitoring and dispatching of proper authorities to residential and commercial customers, assisting customers with alarm issues, monitoring the computer for alarm signals, responding to incoming calls, placing outgoing calls to verify alarms, all while accurately documenting information, and other administration duties. Other responsibilities will include setting up new accounts in the computer system, downloading new systems, and trouble-shooting alarm issues with technicians. This position is expected to provide the highest level of professionalism to customers and coworkers. This shall take place in the form of telephone, email and all other methods of communication.
Job Requirements: In order to be successful, the incumbent must possess good client relation skills, a high sense of urgency, and professionalism. The incumbent should have a high school diploma or equivalent. Background check required.
Job Responsibilities:
- Medical alert, electronic protection monitoring experience is preferred, but not required.
- Monitor emergency alarm signals in a clean and modern call center environment.
- Provide excellent customer service to our customers.
- Collect information from our customers to update their accounts.
- Follow company processes and procedures to ensure the proper handling of each alarm.
- This job may include dispatching emergency services such as the police, fire department, or EMS.
- Accepting incoming calls from subscribers and dealers.
- Detail oriented.
- Solid communication skills.
- Be able to hear and speak using a telephone headset.
- Be able to type 35 words per minute.
- Have access to reliable transportation.
- Be trustworthy and honest.
- Perform other duties as may be assigned by management.
- Must be dependable and reliable in showing up on time every shift.
- Bilingual Spanish and English is preferred.
- Be flexible and easy going as we accommodate your ideal work schedule.
- Candidate must have flexible hours: Days, overnights, holidays, and weekends. Shift premium is paid for overnight/weekend shifts. Candidate will work 40 hours.
Reporting Relationships: This position reports directly to the Central Station Manager. Management reserves the right to make changes to this job description as deemed necessary.
Pay depends on experience.
