Our client, a leading technology organization, is seeking a Data Architect to lead the design, implementation, and optimization of data solutions. This is a high-impact role focused on modernizing data architecture, enabling scalable analytics platforms, and driving digital transformation initiatives in the cloud.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and architect cloud-native data architectures on platforms including: AWS & Google Cloud.
- Define data strategies, standards, and best practices for data warehousing, data lakes, and real-time data processing.
- Lead the migration of on-premise data solutions to the cloud, ensuring performance, security, and cost optimization.
- Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders to translate business needs into scalable data solutions.
- Establish data governance, metadata management, and security protocols across cloud data platforms.
- Evaluate and recommend emerging cloud technologies and tools to enhance data ecosystems.
Required Skills and Experience:
- 10 years of experience in data architecture and engineering, with at least 3 years in a cloud environment.
- Deep understanding of data modeling, ETL/ELT processes, and big data frameworks.
- Experience with data governance tools and frameworks.
- Solid knowledge of security and compliance standards in cloud data systems.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Data Analytics Specialty, GCP Data Engineer, or any other data related certs).
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code (Terraform, CloudFormation).
- Prior consulting or enterprise architecture experience is a plus.
**This is a full time contract to hire opportunity in Atlanta, with a Hybrid work model**
Salary : $175,000 - $190,000
