Responsibilities
- Greeting guests: Welcoming guests and making them feel welcome
- Managing waitlists: Maintaining a waitlist of patrons during busy times
- Communicating wait times: Informing guests of wait times and providing updated information
- Seating guests: Directing guests to tables and waiting areas
- Providing menus: Presenting guests with food and beverage menus
- Answering phones: Taking phone calls and answering questions
- Taking orders: Taking customer orders for food and drinks
- Safety procedures: Informing guests of safety procedures and helping them when needed
Skills and traits
