What are the responsibilities and job description for the 12-18 Month Infant Teacher position at Clear Springs Academy?
Must be available full time, M-F and be dependable. Hours are subject to change based on center's need for coverage.
Childcare teachers have nights and weekends off and most major holidays.
Infant teachers provide for the physical, emotional, developmental and social well-being of children in care. They are kind, gentle, and fun loving.
Must:
- Provide a safe environment.
- Keep classroom clean
- Encourage children to meet milestones and incorporate life skills into daily activity.
- Keep accurate records about daily activities
- Attend to physicals needs of children
- Encourage the child to form words, recognize pictures and mimic sounds and songs
- Understand early child development
- Have strong social skills to interact appropriately with parents and students
- Be 18 years old and have a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Be able to bend, stoop, and carry children.
- Be able to participate in mild-moderate vigorous activity with children and lift young children.
- Hold a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Be dependable
- Have the ability to step in lead teacher absence.
