We are currently seeking a caring and reliable Infant Room Teacher to join our team! If you have a heart for infants and a passion for fostering their early development, we’d love to meet you.
Responsibilities:
- Provide a warm, loving, and safe environment for infants.
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities to promote sensory, cognitive, and emotional development.
- Maintain daily communication with parents, including feeding, diapering, sleeping, and developmental updates.
- Follow safe sleep practices and adhere to all health and safety regulations.
- Ensure cleanliness and sanitation of the classroom, toys, and equipment.
- Observe each child’s progress and milestones.
- Collaborate with co-teachers and center staff to create a positive, team-oriented environment.
- Attend required staff meetings and professional development opportunities.
- Maintain compliance with state licensing requirements and center policies.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to frequently bend, stoop, kneel, and get up and down quickly throughout the day.
- Must be able to lift and carry children up to 40 pounds safely.
- This is an active, hands-on role — we engage with children throughout the day to support their development through play, movement, and interaction.
- This position is not solely for sitting and holding babies; we promote active supervision, engagement, and developmental encouragement.
Qualifications:
- 18 years and High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience in an infant classroom or working with children under 12 months preferred.
- Pediatric CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Ability to meet state and center background check requirements.
- Strong communication skills and a nurturing, patient demeanor.
- Dependable, punctual, and team-oriented.
