Job Summary:
We are looking for caring, energetic, and dependable Childcare Teacher Aides to support teachers and ensure a safe, fun, and nurturing environment for children. The Teacher Aide will assist with classroom activities, supervise children, and help with daily care routines. Aides also fill in during teacher absences and help with classroom closing. This is a great role for someone who loves working with kids and wants to make a difference in their lives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Help teachers with daily activities, play, and routines.
- Supervise children to keep them safe.
- Assist with meals and snacks and help children during mealtime.
- Support children in play, learning activities, and social interaction.
- Keep classrooms clean and organized.
- Follow all health, safety, and licensing rules.
- Encourage children’s emotional and social growth.
- Communicate with children, parents, and staff.
- Assist with diapering, toileting, and personal care as needed.
- Fill in for teachers when they are absent.
- Complete classroom closing tasks.
- Do other tasks as assigned by the lead teacher or center director.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Experience working with children is a plus but not required.
- Must be able to stand and be active all day.
- Must be able to bend, stoop, pick up children and engage at child's level and on floor.
- Kind, patient, and loves working with children.
- Follows directions and works well with others.
- Communicates well with children and adults.
- Pass a background check and meet licensing requirements.
