Job description
This position develops the individual into a Store Director and while training supports and participates in store leadership in effectively and efficiently achieving optimal business results. This includes, but is not limited to, sales, inventory, store conditions, staffing, customer service, and profitability.
Essential Functions:
Provide leadership and commitment to the grocery retail industry, directly responsible for managing a key area and learning key management responsibilities.
Maximize store sales through excellent customer service, product availability, merchandising, and an exceptional store image inside and out.
Execute company programs and processes for inventory control, shipping and receiving, efficient use of labor, expense control, and shrink reduction.
Develop and implement plans to maximize sales and profit that meet or exceed goals and objectives by analyzing and measuring business trends and individual location opportunities.
Develop and support a team-oriented environment with other Store Team Leaders.
Develop and execute plans for all coaching, training and development, evaluating, and supervising your team.
Timely and accurate completion of all reporting processes.
Ensures compliance with requirements by enforcing adherence to policies and procedures, and government regulations. Enforces and monitors restricted sales policies; advises management of needed actions.
Protects employees, customers and company assets by maintaining a safe and secure working environment; enforcing safety practices; providing safety communication and training.
Operating within company policies and business ethics and ensuring the same in areas of responsibility.
Complete any additional responsibilities and/or duties as assigned.

Requirements
Qualifications:
- A bachelor's degree in business or related field is preferred. Other combinations of job-related experience and education that meet the requirements may be substituted.
- Two to three years of retail grocery experience or more preferred.
- Must have demonstrated leadership ability, good communication skills, be self-directed, self-motivated and customer service oriented. Ability to communicate (orally and in writing) in English.
- Ability to supervise and train Store employees in use of store equipment, tools and materials.
- Expertise with MS Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and Word preferred.
- A current valid driver's license and clean driving record is required to operate a company vehicle.

Please note a minimum of 50 hours per week is normal. Due to the 7-day nature of our operation, some weekend, evening, and holiday work may be required as determined by our business needs.
