What are the responsibilities and job description for the Program Aide position at Clear Vision Residential Treatment Services?
Clear Vision is a 25-bed residential treatment facility for adolescent females (ages 12-18) placed with us by 30 counties in PA through Juvenile Probation or Children & Youth Services. Our 6 month program is a safe and structured environment with 24/7 staff supervision that provides individual, group, and family counseling services for youth to address their behavioral, emotional, mental, and social health needs. We are lead by a Licensed (LCSW) Clinical Director with 20 years in mental & behavioral health and certified in psychotherapies such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).
We are seeking Full-Time and Part-Time Program Aides for the following schedules:
- Monday-Friday 2nd Shift (3:00-11:00pm)
- Saturday & Sundays 1st Shift (7am-3pm) and 2nd Shift (3-11pm) - At least every other weekend or one day per weekend is expected to start.
- 3rd Shift (11pm-7am)
Job Summary
The Program Aide is responsible for providing structure and supervision through positive interaction with residents to ensure a safe and therapeutic environment. The Program Aide collaborates with co-workers and the treatment team to oversee residents’ activities of daily living (ADLs).
- The Program Aide reports directly to the Lead Program Aides (Team Leads).
Responsibilities - Direct Care:
- Promote appropriate social interactions and behaviors within the community.
- Conduct expectation and process meetings with residents
- Participate in the Intake and ISP Process, ensuring all paperwork is completed in the designated timelines.
- Orchestrate resident group sessions and coordinate recreational activities in collaboration with on-shift Supervisors or management.
- Facilitate positive family involvement (family counseling, telephone calls, letters)
- Employ Crisis Intervention, Safe Crisis Management, and basic First Aid
- Provide transportation as needed in company vehicles.
Professional Expectations:
- Complete and pass a Department-approved medications administration course (see PA regulation: 3800.188), and maintain certification to oversee resident med distributions.
- Complete 30 hours of state-mandated training within 120 days after the date of hire, and 40 hours of training annually thereafter. Trainings shall include company policies & procedures, fire safety, first aid & CPR, SCM, crisis intervention, behavior management, suicide prevention, trauma-informed care, and more.
- Demonstrate professionalism in every undertaking, including all forms of internal and external communication (emails, calls, texts, logbook, etc.).
- Other duties and paperwork as assigned by supervisors/management.
Qualifications
- Required – A high school diploma or general educational development certificate
- Required – Must pass Child Abuse Clearance, Federal Background Check (FBI), and State Criminal Record Check
- Preferred – At least 2 years of experience in health & human services and working with children/adolescents.
