What are the responsibilities and job description for the Latency Software Engineer position at ClearBridge Technology Group?
Our client, a telecommunications company in Denver, CO, is in need of a Latency Software Engineer for a 10-month contract-to-hire position. Working in a hybrid model, four days / week onsite, the Engineer must have a working knowledge in system engineering and experience in software programming using multiple coding languages, including C. The Engineer must have an experience in various software programming tools & platforms including bash, Makefiles, Linux, and Openwrt.
The Engineer will help in developing the PTM and BiTR tools, as well as integrating these tools on the routers which will be used in the client's internet reliability program field trial. The Engineer will also help support the tools with bug fixes and feature enhancements as a result of the data collected from the trial.
Required skills :
- 7 years experience in software development
- Must have experience with multiple coding languages, including C
- Must have extensive network architecture and latency experience
- Experience with bash, Makefiles, Linux, and Openwrt
- Must have experience in the telecom industry, including developing tools (PTM, BiTR, etc.) and integrating the tools onto routers
- Strong communication and documentation skills
