Our client, a large defense contractor located in Boulder, Colorado, is looking to hire a Secret cleared Datacenter Hardware Engineer for a 12 month contract. The consultant will work four ten hour days onsite in support of the design, development, and integration of all types of IT and RF hardware for the Next Generation Geo (NGG) Satellite Ground system infrastructure.
The consultant will provide engineering support throughout the system lifecycle, including hardware system design, development, integration and deployment. The consultant will develop and maintain system documentation for each step in the lifecycle while working as part of a multidisciplinary team of hardware, network, radio frequency (RF), DevOps and systems engineers to deliver fully functional satellite ground systems infrastructure.
Responsibilities :
- Design, generate, and maintain IT infrastructure documentation, including system interconnect documents, cable tables, and installation and test plans.
- Maintain essential documentation including bills of materials (BOMs), rack layouts, and system architecture diagrams.
- Installing, integrating, and testing system-level IT infrastructure including servers, routers, network switches, firewalls, and some specialty ground hardware and RF components, implemented in accordance with installation best practices and established hardware processes.
