Mail Carrier

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Mail Carrier to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the timely and efficient delivery of mail and packages within designated routes. This role requires excellent customer service skills, as well as the ability to operate various vehicles safely while adhering to all traffic regulations. The Mail Carrier will ensure that all deliveries are made accurately and on time, contributing to the overall satisfaction of our customers.

Responsibilities

• Drive designated routes to deliver mail and packages in a timely manner.
• Load and unload mail and packages from delivery vehicles, ensuring proper handling to avoid damage.
• Utilize equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts when necessary for heavy lifting tasks.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including tracking information and delivery confirmations.
• Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving any delivery-related issues.
• Ensure that all vehicles are maintained in good working condition, reporting any mechanical issues promptly.
• Follow safety protocols while driving, loading, and unloading, ensuring compliance with all regulations.

Requirements

• Previous experience in route driving or courier services is preferred.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting and carry packages weighing up to 70 pounds.
• Familiarity with commercial driving practices and regulations is a plus.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients.
• Experience operating delivery vehicles, including vans or trucks, is beneficial.
• A valid driver's license with a clean driving record is required.
• Ability to work independently while managing time effectively to meet delivery schedules.
