We are looking for a registered dietitian to join a growing group wellness practice providing integrative, functional, and holistic health care. Clearcreek Nutrition & Wellness Co is a team of passionate and sought after registered dietitians located in Springboro, Ohio (serving the Dayton-Cincinnati area). If you are a Registered Dietitian who is self-motivated, independent, and excited to work in a private practice environment, providing nutritional counseling and holistic wellness support, this is the perfect job for you. We work with many populations and conditions but at this time we specialize in the treatment of eating disorders, digestive disorders, women's hormones, and sports nutrition. The ideal candidate would be able to meet in person in our Springboro location, and have experience working with eating disorders and/or Intuitive Eating.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Provide one-on-one nutritional counseling and individualized medical nutrition therapy for the treatment of eating disorders, gastrointestinal disorders, women's health, sports nutrition, and more.
- Make appropriate nutritional interventions, facilitate behavior change with motivational interviewing and goal setting techniques
- Stay up to date with continuing education; Attend trainings and certifications to be knowledgeable and confident in providing care and counseling for our clients.
- Document all counseling sessions and activities in client’s personal file and electronic medical record.
- Coordinate care with physicians / interdisciplinary team to promote optimal medical outcomes, including faxing notes and lab requests, calling and speaking to interdisciplinary providers about the plan of care.
- Creating or updating handouts / educational tools to be used by all team members
- Create posts on social media platforms (blogging, Facebook, Instagram)
- Assistance with monthly newsletter creation
- Other consulting services as agreed upon
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in nutrition, dietetics, or related field of study.
- Registered Dietitian through the Commission on Dietetic Registration
- Licensed Dietitian through the Ohio Board of Dietetics to practice in the State of Ohio (upon start date)
- Licensed Dietitian in Kentucky, Indiana, or any other states (preferred)
- Credentialed with insurance companies (preferred)
- Confident in motivational interviewing techniques and a patient-centered approach
- HAES aligned and weight inclusive
- Specialized training or experience work with eating disorders, digestive health, sports nutrition, or weight management
- Interest or experience with integrative and functional nutrition
- Organized and able to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills. Confidence to speak in front of an audience.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule both in our Springboro office and remotely using your own computer and internet (required)
- Availability to work 4pm-7pm one-two nights per week and one-two Saturdays per month (preferred)
- Skills and interest in recipe development or adaptation and meal planning
- Familiarity with online counselling platforms: Skype, Facetime, Zoom and team management software: Asana, google drive, etc (preferred)
- Willingness to learn
- Writing skills that can contribute to blog posts, social media posts, and client handouts
- Desire for self-development and growth, and excellent time management
