Job Description: As a Full-Time Title Searcher, you’ll play a crucial role in our title production process by researching and verifying property ownership records. - Conduct thorough title searches using public records, title plants, and online databases to establish ownership history and determine any liens, encumbrances, or other title defects
- Review and summarize recorded documents that may affect the title, including deeds, mortgages, easements, judgments, and tax liens
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of title searches before passing information to the Title Examiner for further review
- Work closely with examiners, underwriters, and other internal teams to resolve title issues and confirm title clearance
- Maintain accurate records of searches performed and documentation collected
- Keep up to date with industry regulations and local recording practices to ensure compliance
- Previous experience in the title industry is a must! 2 years of experience preferred
- Strong research and investigative skills with attention to detail
- Ability to analyze complex property records and legal documents
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and title software; ResWare experience is preferred
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with a team to meet deadlines
