What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lifeguard position at Clearfield YMCA?
General Responsibilities:
Under the direction of the Aquatics Director/Head Lifeguard, lifeguards will supervise the aquatic facility and/or aquatic activities to ensure the safety of all those involved, as well as maintaining all areas in and around the aquatic facility.
Specific Responsibilities:
Enforce all rules and procedures as indicated in the lifeguard handbook
Maintain constant surveillance of water and pool deck areas AT ALL TIMES
Report specific problems or needs to supervisor on duty.
Do not touch or operate the PH/ORP machines. If you see a problem, inform the Aquatics Director or supervisor on duty as soon as possible
Know emergency and safety procedures (available in white binder on guard stand)
Attend any/all staff meetings, functions and training
Fill out incident/accident reports as necessary
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $8.00 - $11.00 per hour
