Group Facilitator

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Per-Diem Mental Health Group Facilitator to lead psychoeducational and process groups in our evening program. The ideal candidate will have experience facilitating group therapy in a behavioral healthcare setting, demonstrating strong clinical insight, group management skills, and the ability to foster a safe, supportive space for clients.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate structured psychoeducational, process, and skills-based therapy groups for adults in PHP/IOP programs.
• Utilize evidence-based practices (e.g., CBT, DBT, Motivational Interviewing) to promote client growth and engagement.
• Foster a safe, inclusive, and supportive group environment.
• Maintain appropriate group boundaries and manage group dynamics effectively.
• Document group notes accurately and in compliance with clinical and regulatory standards.
• Communicate and collaborate with the clinical team regarding client progress and concerns.
• Adhere to ethical guidelines and confidentiality requirements in accordance with state and federal regulations.

Requirements

• Master’s degree (or higher) in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or a related field.
• Licensure (or eligibility) as an LMHC, LCSW, LPC, LMFT, or equivalent
• Experience facilitating individual therapy and psychoeducational groups in a mental health treatment setting.
• Strong understanding of evidence-based therapeutic modalities.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and group management skills.
• Ability to maintain professionalism and compassion in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $90.00 per hour

Expected hours: 3 – 6 per week
