Marketing Assistant (Seasonal)

Job Summary
The Marketing Assistant will be responsible for assisting with all marketing-related tasks. The Marketing Assistant will manage all local partnerships, advertising partners and media guests. The Marketing Assistant will work closely with our sales department to help promote upcoming events and promotions and push sales to specific revenue streams through various marketing outlets. The Marketing Assistant will be responsible for keeping and managing our marketing calendar and should ensure that holidays, events, promotions, and deadlines are not overlooked. Our Marketing Assistant will be responsible for making regular social media posts and updates, sending marketing emails, updating flyers, and print materials as necessary. Our Marketing Assistant will help organize and facilitate company events such as featured artists, job fairs, community picnics and business expos.

The Marketing Assistant will help vet media inquiries and should be comfortable speaking on behalf of the company when necessary. Our marketing Assistant will be expected to follow-up with media guests, help facilitate photoshoots and review public features as necessary. The Marketing Assistant will assist with updating our website, online listings and other programs to ensure uniformity. Our Marketing Assistant will be trained to work from our Zephyr Cove shop and will be expected to assist with other sales and shop needs as necessary. Our Marketing Assistant will work with Inventory Assistant or Sales Manager to design branded products for promotional, retail and uniforms. The Marketing Assistant should be able to follow direction and report back

Duties

• Arrive to work on time as scheduled.
• Keep marketing and company event calendar updated and ensure all tasks are on-track.
• Review and help vet marketing inquiries.
• Communicate with local businesses to inform of upcoming events, promotions, season changes etc.
• Update, re-order and distribute marketing materials as necessary.
• Help maintain social media accounts.
• Send out marketing email updates.
• Update the website and online business listings.
• Follow up with media guests and marketing collabs.
• Help coordinate and organize marketing events.
• Assist with photoshoots and obtaining media content.
• Help edit raw materials and prepare posts, flyers, signage etc. when necessary.
• Attend local events and marketing events on behalf of Clearly Tahoe when necessary.
• Help order promotional products for events.
• Assist with the design and ordering of Clearly Tahoe branded items for retail.
• Work from our Clearly Tahoe shop locations and help fulfill Sales Associate shop duties.

Qualifications

• Must be knowledgeable of various computer applications such as Microsoft Office Programs, Adobe and Dropbox.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Bachelors Degree in Marketing or related degree (preferred)
• Experience on various social media platforms
• Must be able to stand/sit for long periods of time.
• Experience with outdoor recreational activities (Preferred)

Ideal Candidate

An ideal candidate for this position is a very organized and social person who is quick to learn and strives to discover a new creative method for presenting information. Candidate for our Marketing Assistant position should be comfortable working from our Clearly Tahoe shop as well as a shared-office environment. The ideal candidate for this position should have a good understanding and background knowledge of the Lake Tahoe area and Clearly Tahoe and be comfortable speaking on behalf of the company impromptu without planned notes. An ideal candidate for this position will be comfortable being on camera and speaking in front of large groups. Our Marketing Assistant should be excited to build new relationships, network within the community and develop partnerships.

Working Environment & Schedule

Marketing Assistant will, by default, be scheduled to work from our Clearly Tahoe shop in Zephyr Cove, NV and will fulfill the role of a Sales Associate. Marketing Assistant will also have access to a sales office where they will work alongside our sales and reservation team. Marketing Assistant should be comfortable navigating on-site operations and will be expected to help coordinate photoshoots, interviews and other events on-site and one of our Clearly Tahoe operating locations as necessary. Our Marketing Assistant may be expected to help run errands, distribute marketing materials and attend off-site networking meetings and events from time to time.

Marketing Assistant will generally be scheduled to work an 8-hour shift 5 days per week. Shifts will start as early as 7:00am and as late as 11:00am depending on the season and job duties. Marketing Coordinator may be asked to assist with events and marketing tasks off-site from time to time outside of the normal schedule.

In addition to our popular tours in completely transparent kayaks, Clearly Tahoe also offers on-site rentals from the Sand Harbor Nevada State Park, hiking, biking and snowshoe tours during the off-season. Our sister location based out of California offers 2 additional tour locations and guided excursions that depart from our 46-foot tri-toon, the Clearly Explorer. Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
