Description
As the Manager of Business Development at ClearlyRated, you will fuel our top-of-funnel sales initiatives by owning and achieving the below two critical initiatives:
The Role Key Initiatives
- Lead, grow, and above all, coach our team of BDRs who set qualified appointments for our account executives to close.
- The team today is small but mighty but we plan to grow this team in 2025.
- Currently our BDRs handle both inbound and outbound sales motions but we are aiming to separate the motion in the new year.
- Owning the Outbound sales engine for ClearlyRated
- As the resident outbound expert, you will own our outbound initiative in conjunction with our VP of Sales. This includes working with the AEs from time to time, ensuring they are also set up for success, although your primary focus will be with the BDRs. You will also work with our third party bizdev providers.
- We have all the right tools that the sales team needs and aren’t afraid to continue investing in ways to make them better or more efficient. You will own our outbound tech stack, ensuring its integrated and functioning at optimal capacity.
- Coaching, Coaching, Coaching - Continuous improvement is our core mantra.
Role Requirements
- A true coach - coaching & team development will be your #1 priority.
- 1 or more years of experience as a successful SDR/BDR Manager.
- Cold outbound experience is a must as this will be a healthy part of your teams day
- Growth-minded, coachable, curious, and eager to learn
- Flexible and open to change. We’re a start-up, and priorities may shift as we grow.
- Entrepreneurial mindset. While we have a lot figured out, there is still more to uncover. You’ll have the autonomy to try new things with your team. As the leader of outbound, you’ll have a big hand in our company's direction.

We will ask for references. That said, in exchange our VP of Sales will provide YOU with references. That’s right, we’ll provide YOU with references for our VP of Sales. Other BDR/SDR Leaders who have reported to him so you can ask them for their experience working with him as a VP of Sales.
