Pay Rate $25.00 - $30.00

We are seeking an experienced Hydrovac Operator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) and have a strong background in hydro excavation techniques.

Related Tasks / Requirements

• Safely operate hydrovac truck equipment in accordance with company policies and procedures, as well as local, state, and federal regulations.

• Drive hydrovac truck(s) to designated job sites in a timely manner, ensuring adherence to all traffic laws and safety protocols.

• Set up and prepare hydrovac equipment for excavation activities, including the proper assembly and disassembly of hoses, vacuum tubes, and other components.

• Perform hydro excavation tasks to safely expose underground utilities, pipelines, and other infrastructure using pressurized water and vacuum systems.

• Monitor equipment operation to ensure efficient and effective excavation, adjusting settings as needed to maintain optimal performance.

• Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on hydrovac equipment to identify and address any mechanical issues or safety concerns.

• Complete excavation projects within specified timelines and budgets, while prioritizing safety and quality standards.

• Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and clients to coordinate job activities, report progress, and address any concerns or obstacles.

• Maintain accurate records of work performed, including daily activity logs, equipment maintenance reports, and incident documentation.

• Adhere to company policies regarding workplace safety, environmental compliance, and risk management at all times.

Special Requirements

• Knowledgeable in operation of HDD rig and or excavator

• Knowledgeable in splicing

• Knowledgeable in operating all jobsite equipment

• Ability to read and comprehend utility maps

• Basic understanding of equipment maintenance and repair

• Basic understanding and proper use of hand tools

• Reading one personal development book or audio per half year and provide review

• Possess a creative mind with an ability to suggest improvements and a desire for continual learning and self-improvement

• CDL – Commercial Driver License with Class A, Tanker, Air Brakes, Combination

• Willingness to go above and beyond to ensure project completion within standards

• Understanding that this position may require me to travel outside of my normal working area as part of my job
