SUMMARY :
Our client in the energy industry is looking for a Global Intelligence Specialist with proficiency in physical security, intelligence analysis and awareness of global security threats and trends. The Global Intelligence Specialist will contribute to various aspects of the Global Intelligence Operations (GIO) and will collaborate with different corporate functions and business units. In addition to the qualifications outlined below, the Global Intelligence Analyst must exhibit teamwork, effective communication abilities, and strong analytical skills.
This is not a cyber security role - this role specifically deals with physical and intelligence security
DUTIES :
Ensure the effective monitoring of physical security access control systems and execute necessary actions in response to alarms, breaches, malfunctions, or other relevant incidents ; provide assistance to onsite contracted security personnel .
Tracking both privately sourced and publicly available data for potential threats and incidents that may compromise the security of the organization's personnel, infrastructure, operations, and overall reputation.
Conducting advanced research autonomously to assess potential threats and communicating results to leadership to meet intelligence needs and guide decision-making processes.
Serving as a critical center for information collection and communication to address security or safety incidents throughout the organization .
Enhancing the development and upkeep of the GIO's information and knowledge management systems and methodologies.
REQUIREMENTS :
Knowledge of the oil and gas industry is required.
Proficiency using video monitoring, access control, and alarm monitoring applications, preferably Lenel / OnGuard.
Experience monitoring open sources to proactively identify physical security threats that could impact the organization's people, assets or reputation.
Advanced knowledge of traveler tracking systems, geographic information systems and data visualization tools.
Ability to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays, and overtime on an as-needed basis .
Knowledge of corporate security, including physical security, travel security, domestic / international threat environments , executive protection and security assessments.
Familiarity with physical security threats , trends in the United States and major geopolitical issues.
An intermediate or higher level of proficiency in a language other than English .
EDUCATION :
Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field, or at least one year of experience working as an analyst in a government or corporate intelligence center.
