SUMMARY:
Our client in the Oil & Gas sector is looking for an Allocation Analyst with expertise in the Avocet production tool. This individual will be responsible for maintaining, overseeing, and reporting oil and gas production in designated areas and collaborating within a multidisciplinary team dedicated to enhancing production, managing data, and improving processes. You will provide allocation analysis reports to stakeholders, including asset teams, joint venture partners, and federal and state agencies, while also working closely with field personnel. Key interactions will be with the Production Accounting team to ensure precise allocations and the GHG team to effectively evaluate and report greenhouse gas emissions data.
DUTIES:
- Conduct analysis, corrections, and reporting for daily and monthly volume allocations.
- Ensure accurate and timely accruals and reconcile volumes with revenue accounting.
- Develop allocation networks, including new wells, gathering systems, and production measurement equipment, utilizing Avocet.
- Maintains effective communication with field operators, foremen, and superintendents regarding the use of Avocet and Field Operator data entry systems.
- Reconcile volume discrepancies by comparing allocated volumes, estimated daily volumes, and purchaser statements, employing both Avocet and Spotfire.
- Prepare and submit state and federal production reports.
- Organize, input, and reconcile crude oil and water tickets against third-party statements.
- Collaborate with multiple teams to ensure daily and monthly allocation accuracy at the well level.
- Process Purchase Price Allocations (PPAs) as needed.
- Possess comprehensive knowledge of field equipment and process flows.
- Prepare partner reports for monthly data reporting.
- Engages in system upgrades and testing activities.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 3 years of experience in production accounting and regulatory reporting within the Oil and Gas sector is required.
- Proficiency in Avocet or Spotfire and Excel is required.
- Proficient understanding of production accounting, including various allocation methods and reconciliation processes.
- Familiarity with measurement techniques, field data capture, process flows, and production networks is expected.
- Strong analytical skills to interpret data and draw independent conclusions.
- Professional communication skills, both oral and written, along with strong organizational skills are mandatory.
EDUCATION:
- Associate’s Degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Energy Technology, Business/Finance, or a related field is required.
