Salary: $22.00 - $25.00 / Per hour
Summary:
Out client in the Oil & Gas industry is need of an Expeditor who will collaborate with Procurement and Supply Chain (PSC) processes and systems to enhance and sustain their efficiency. This position is in charge of monitoring orders, managing delivery delays, coordinating with the warehouse manager, and ensuring that all shipments are dispatched promptly. Responsibilities also encompass communicating with suppliers regarding the status of supplies and proactively addressing issues to mitigate the effects of late deliveries.
Duties:
- Oversee inventory levels, coordinate deliveries, and ensure materials are available when needed.
- Update purchase orders promise dates, delivery locations and PO changes accordingly.
- Track project progress against deadlines, identify potential delays, and take corrective action.
- Contacts vendors for the purpose of verifying information and/or responding to inquiries.
- Communicate with vendors, suppliers, and internal business units to provide updates on progress and potential issues.
- Expedites deliveries to meet business needs and schedules.
- Responds to inquiries for the purpose of resolving issues or referring to appropriate parties.
- Collaborates with management in developing and communicating corrective action plans to bring suppliers into compliance.
- Participates on implementation projects and participates as assigned on special projects.
- Investigates and resolves matters of significance on behalf of management.
Requirements:
- 4 years of experience
- Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills to interface with internal and external personnel..
- Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PPT) with specific experience in spreadsheet creation.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering or Operations Management (or 4 years equivalent work experience).
