Job Description
As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) on our night shift team, you will be responsible for providing general nursing care to patients, under the direction of a Registered Nurse and in accordance with physician's orders and established standards and protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implements orders for medications and treatments as ordered by the physician and in accordance with nursing care plan as written by the Registered Nurse.
- Participates in evaluation of the effectiveness of interventions in relation to patient responses and seeks guidance in redirection when necessary.
- Assists in identification of patient's learning needs and reinforces self-care and other techniques.
- Reports to supervisor on patient care rendered, problems concerning patients' needs, and resolution to those needs as well as appropriately designates applicable charges to individual patients using the hospital's established system.
- Helps identify patient problems and potential risks and contributes to the development of interventions.
- Provides an environment conducive to safety for patients, visitors, and staff.
- Assesses the risks for safety and implements appropriate precautions.
- Complies with appropriate and approved safety and Infection Prevention standards.
Requirements
To be considered for this role, you must have:
- A minimum of 2 (two) years' experience in inpatient hospital setting, inpatient rehabilitation experience preferred.
- Current state license as a Licensed Vocational Nurse required.
- Current CPR certification required.
