What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Technician position at Clearview Asset Protection?
Job Responsibilities: Install, service, repair, program and maintain a variety of specialized electronic equipment including residential and commercial burglar alarms;alarm intrusion systems and train customers on how to operate equipment.
Schedule routine, preventive maintenance work and maintain accurate records and logs of such activity. Work from plans, wiring diagrams, schematic drawings. Must have clean criminal and driving record & current driver’s license. Drive to and from work sites, suppliers and contractors with a company vehicle. Perform related duties as assigned. Maintain punctual and consistent attendance.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Interpret and work from wiring diagrams, schematic drawings, blueprints or work orders. Must know how to install from the beginning of installation (prewire) to mounting and programming. Troubleshoot & diagnose problems with systems. Properly use and care for electronic test equipment and tools associated with the trade. Meet schedules and timelines. Understand and follow oral and written instructions. Work safely, productively, cooperatively and collaboratively with & around clients, co-workers and other professionals when needed; work independently with limited direct supervision. Maintain simple and concise records, prepare accurate reports, maintain inventories of equipment or warranties as needed.
