Position Overview:
We are looking for an experienced and reliable Lead Zone Supervisor to lead operations during the evening shift, ensuring smooth execution of daily tasks, managing team performance, and addressing operational challenges. The role involves overseeing supervisors and staff, ensuring productivity goals are met, maintaining safety standards, and supporting the overall operational flow of the shift.
Key Responsibilities:

Night Shift Operations: Supervise all night shift activities, ensuring tasks are completed on time, in line with company policies and procedures. Serve as the primary point of contact between Day and Night shifts. Ensure clear communication of updates, operational changes, and issues.

Team Leadership: Lead evening shift supervisors and staff, fostering a positive work environment and providing ongoing training, guidance, and feedback. Assist Zone Supervisors.

Communication: Problem Resolution: Address and resolve issues related to personnel, equipment, or workflow to maintain shift efficiency.

Performance Monitoring: Track productivity, KPIs, and ensure team goals are met, making adjustments as needed to optimize performance. Follow up with supervisors regarding inspection outcomes, ensuring that action plans are developed and implemented based on the results. Inspections, budgets, goals w/ reviews. Identify and implement process improvements to enhance team efficiency, productivity, and morale.

Safety & Compliance: Enforce safety protocols and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements.

Staffing & Scheduling: Oversee staffing schedules, manage overtime needs, and coordinate shift adjustments or coverage with HR or management. “On the spot” decisions during Evening Shift.

Reporting & Documentation: Complete shift reports and documentation, ensuring a smooth hand off to the next shift. Review and respond to all Zone Supervisor reports.

Operational Decision-Making: Make quick decisions regarding staffing and operational challenges to align with company objectives.

Special Projects: Assist in coordinating special projects as needed, working closely with the Business Development Manager to execute them successfully.

Work Flow & Task Organization: Aid in structuring daily, weekly, and monthly tasks, and support efforts to optimize location workflows.

Disciplinary Actions: Handle disciplinary actions in accordance with company policies, ensuring fair and consistent application.(Witness) (when not appropriate for Zone Supervisor to handle)

Maintain/Audit (assist Staffing Coordinator): The company key log, ensuring accurate tracking as employees are hired, trained, and transition out of the organization.

Standardized Training: Contribute to the development and quality control of a standardized training protocol for new employees, ensuring consistency and effectiveness in onboarding processes.

Talent Acquisition and Development: Conduct final interviews for key openings (not necessarily entry-level positions, example would be an assistant supervisor), scout talent within the organization, and foster relationships with employees advancing through the ranks

Coverage: As needed coverage of buildings assuring customer satisfaction.
Qualifications:

Proven experience in janitorial and/or supervision.(2 years of either)

Strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.

Excellent communication skills and ability to manage a diverse team.

Knowledge of cleaning techniques, equipment, and industry best practices.

Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work in a fast-paced environment.

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Proficient in basic computer skills (e.g., Microsoft Office).

High school diploma or equivalent; further education or leadership training is a plus.

Ability to work night shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed.
