Job Description:
Job purpose
The purpose of the Billing Clerk is to assist the billing office in day to day activities in a rapidly growing Oncology Practice.
Duties include:
- Opening and Sorting Mail
- Distributing correspondence to other departments
- Creating check batches for processing and printing
- Working in Excel and spreadsheets
- Pulling and working credit card reports for daily processing
- Scanning/filing of patient information
- Basic computer skills for payment portals
- Other duties as assigned

- Ability to work independently in an office setting
Education/Experience
High school diploma or equivalent
Working conditions:
This position works in the billing office of a busy medical oncology/hematology clinic.
Physical requirements:
This position requires that the employee be able to sit at a desk and work on a computer for up to 8 hours a day. Some walking and standing will be required when completing certain tasks.
Direct reports
This position is not a supervisory position.
