What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mortgage Loan Servicing Manager I position at Clearview Federal Credit Union?
OBJECTIVE
Oversee, coordinate, and manage the Real Estate secured servicing portfolio for home equity products and first mortgage loans. Work to improve efficiencies, communication and staff knowledge about real estate servicing on multiple systems, and oversee post-closing functions. Partner with the Director, Real Estate Lending and AVP of Real Estate to seek additional business, system efficiencies and process improvements. Coach employees to their full potential, so that a good work environment can be maintained.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Two-year college degree or equivalent required; degree in Business or Finance or related field preferred
- Minimum five years’ experience servicing Real Estate secured loans
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
- Strong system knowledge and ability to utilize systems for improved efficiency and increased production
- Ability to adjust to change and engage employees for feedback and ideas
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Competent in Servicing Regulations
- Educated in Real Estate Servicing Compliance rules
- Ability to manage escrow set up for taxes, insurance and flood on multiple systems
- Proven analytical, decision-making, and critical thinking skills
- Superior adaptability and works well under pressure
- Exceptional PC skills including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Oversee All Operational Aspects of Real Estate Servicing staff
- Manage, evaluate and implement processes to improve home equity servicing efficiencies and production
- Knowledgeable in escrow process, compliance and secondary market rules for first mortgage loans
- Work closely with servicing and post-closing employees to ensure tasks are completed; service events addressed promptly; HMDA data is correct, timely completion of satisfactions, subordinations and post loan file set-up
- Manage escrow setup, escrow account statements, disclosures, analysis, post-closing functions and loan maintenance for all Real Estate secured loans.
- Helps prepare, update and insures proper distribution of the Loan Servicing procedures
Employee Development
- Responsible for Coaching, mentoring, training, assessing, evaluating employees towards attainment of goals, both personal and corporate
- Develop leadership within staff and succession plan for the department
Communication
- Consistently communicate with management staff to keep them updated on servicing issues
- Maintain strong and cooperative relationship with internal departments regarding lending
- Work with Director, Real Estate Lending to update Real Estate Guidelines and forms when required
- Provide prompt, professional member service to members and co-workers
- Work with collections on mortgage hardships and modification requests
- Update policies and procedures for the Real Estate Department regarding servicing policies and procedures and any post-closing audit issues
