Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Hydrologic Modeler to join our dynamic team. As a Hydrologic Modeler, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining hydrologic models and conducting research on water resources management.
Hydrologic Modeler Responsibilities & Duties
- Develop, maintain and improve hydrologic models using state-of-the-art modeling software
- Conduct hydrologic and water resources research to support decision making
- Analyze and interpret hydrologic data and make recommendations on water resources management strategies
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop integrated water resources management plans
- Communicate research findings and recommendations to stakeholders in a clear and concise manner
- Stay up-to-date with advances in hydrologic modeling techniques and software
Preferred Qualifications & Skills
- Masters in Hydrology, Water Resources, Environmental Science, or a related field; minimum of Bachelors degree in one of these areas of study
- Experience in conducting research on water resources management and policy
- Familiarity with GIS and remote sensing techniques for hydrologic analysis
- Strong project management and leadership skills
- Experience in Research
- Expertise in hydrologic modeling software such as HEC-RAS
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $35,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
