Nurse Manager/ADON Job Duties:
- Successfully delivers basic nursing care to residents in accordance with care plans as ordered by a physician.
- Directs and develops RNs, LPNs, and CNAs working on the unit to ensure the delivery of high-quality care and services in accordance with all laws, regulations, and guidelines.
- Works in conjunction with the ADON and DON to resolve grievances or concerns related to resident care or family issues.
- Documents interventions and resident or family education efforts timely and accurately.
- Conducts rounds within the nursing department to assess resident conditions and clinical practices.
- Performs shift change reports with the previous shift nurses and ensures proper follow-up.
- Understands and follows proper procedures for admission, transfer, and discharge of the residents.
- May assist in the recruitment, selection and orientation of qualified team members for the Nursing Department.
- Provides expectations and monitors the performance of specific nursing staff.
- Delegates assignments and supervises RNs, LPNs, and CNAs on the nursing unit.
- Effectively communicates guidelines and on-the-job training and procedures to RNs, LPNs, CNAs, Restorative Aides, residents, familie,s and physicians.
- Assists in promoting a team environment through effectively communicating praise and recognition with the RNs, LP,Ns and CNAs.
- Current RN license required
- Experience in Long-Term Care settings
- 2 years of management experience preferred
- 1 year of staff education experience preferred
- Excellent Communication Skills required
- Evidence of basic leadership skills and supervision
- Flexible hours required
