- Conduct weekly individual therapy and family therapy for each client.
- Provide case management and social services for each client and assisting treatment team with managing client care from intake through discharge.
- Record all contacts in progress notes and maintain clinical record to meet all ethical and regulatory requirements.
- Complete all psychosocial evaluation, treatment plans, contact logs, discharge plans and other reports required for each client.
- Provide regular updates via phone to collateral contacts (family members, referents, etc.).
- Assist with crisis intervention and special activities as needed.
- Complete utilization reviews for insurance companies as needed and assist with peer-to-peer reviews.
- Attend weekly clinical and staff meetings.
- Provide clinical supervision to clinicians in both individual and group settings, offering guidance and feedback to motivate and positively develop the clinical team.
- Provides clinical leadership and supervision for DBT within the Outpatient Program.
- Actively engages with clinicians, leading in person and virtual clinical programming.
- Works closely with the clinical and customer service teams to ensure a therapeutic environment is maintained, appropriate treatment planning, and discharge management.
- Ensures compliance with state and Joint Commission and state accreditation standards and provides oversight to other staff to maintain their compliance.
- Coordinates clinical staff schedules and clinical group schedules in concert with Program.
- Acts as on call designee for emergencies or assigns on call designee when personally unavailable.
- Escalates risk exposure and / or customer service concerns, as necessary.
- Assists with difficult or emotional client situations, responds promptly to client needs, solicits feedback for continuous quality improvement.
- Requires a Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in social work, counseling or other related fields, and a minimum of two years of experience working with an mental health population.
- Must have current license from the appropriate state, such as LCSW, LMFT, LPC, LMHC or Psychologist
- Must be eligible to supervise unlicensed clinicians.
- Demonstrated ability to respond therapeutically in crisis situations.
- Must have knowledge of human development over the life span.
- Demonstrated ability to set limits and maintain boundaries in a kind and firm manner.
- Must have good verbal and written communication skills in order to communication in a clear and concise manner with residents, families, all members of the interdisciplinary team and with the managed care representatives.
- Must have good analytical ability to evaluate information reported by all members of the treatment team and revise treatment strategies accordingly.
- Must be flexible in meeting program needs.
- Clearance of TB test, fingerprinting and state clearance, and any other mandatory state / federal requirements
- State licensing DHS and DSS prohibit individuals with specific criminal charges, conducted by Livescan fingerprint checks. Exemptions offered.
Compensation Range :
95,000.00 - $105,000.00 per year (depending on licensure, level, and location)
How You Will Make a Difference
The Outpatient Lead Therapist is responsible for providing treatment and assessment of clients enrolled in the outpatient program. The Lead Therapist is responsible for providing clinical supervision to unlicensed clinicians and overseeing the daily clinical operations at the Outpatient Center in concert with the Program Director and Executive Director.
Relationships and Contacts
Within the organization : Maintains frequent and close working relationships with program staff and facility leadership team members throughout the organization.
Outside the organization : Initiates and maintains strong professional relationships with clients and families, clinical providers, referral partners and vendors, as needed.
