Job Description
The Evening Supervisor plays a crucial role in ensuring the highest quality of care is maintained at all times. This position assists the Director of Health Services and Assistant Director of Health Services in planning, organizing, and directing the evening functions of the Nursing Department(s) in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in developing methods for coordination of nursing services with other resident services to ensure continuity of care.
- Initiate and manage reportables with communication and supervision from ED/DHS.
- Complete nursing admission assessments and baseline care planning for new admissions.
- Supervise and oversee resident care according to assessed resident status and established plan of care.
Requirements:
- Leadership and supervisory ability.
- Ability to read, write, and follow written and oral instructions in English.
- Ability to make independent decisions concerning job duties.
- Knowledge of nursing and medical practices and procedures, as well as laws, regulations, and guidelines that pertain to long-term care.
Qualifications:
- Previous leadership experience preferred but not required.
- Unencumbered LPN or RN license in the state of employment.
Work Environment:
This position will work on the evening shift, Monday through Friday, with on-call rotation as required.
