We are seeking a dedicated and empathetic Computed Tomography (CT) Clerical Assistant for our medical office.
The CT Clerical Assistant is responsible for the accurate CT lab documentation and assistance to the CT Laboratory with all things non-clinically related. Report generation and editing, Data collection and archival. Some tasks are pre-scan and some are post scan. The Full-time CT clerical Assistant supports the CT Laboratory Manager/Lead CT Technologist, CT Technologists, and CT nursing staff in the operation of the CT Lab.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:
· Assist in the preparation of the CT lab schedule on a daily basis in such a manner as to ensure high quality studies, excellent patient and physician satisfaction, and operational efficiency with support to the CT Laboratory Manager/Lead CT Tech and physicians.
· Handle all Personal Health Information (PHI) with complete discretion.
· Ensure CT lab pre-test paperwork is accurate and complete so testing results can be reported accurately and promptly.
· Confirm billing matches with ordering diagnosis and remove completed order.
· Edit and finalize CT reports from Cardiology and Radiology. Maintain documentation of generated reports.
· Look ahead to request, retrieve, and prepare outside images and reports needed for comparison studies. Create CDs or use Cloud transfer when needed.
Assist CT nursing with Schedule prep for future appointments.
WHO YOU ARE:
- High School graduate/ GED Equivalent
- Some post-secondary education, preferably in healthcare, is preferred.
- Knowledge of basic Medical Terminology
- Use of Microsoft 365 platform
- CPR and Vital Signs preferred not required
