GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF CLASS
The purpose of the class is to provide friendly, excellent service to every customer and preparing and pouring drinks for customers and beverage servers. This position is under the supervision of the Bar Supervisor.
ESSENTIAL TASKS
The tasks fisted below are those that represent the majority of the time spent working in this class. Management may assign additional tasks related to the type of work of the class as necessary.
Provides courteous professional services and is cordial to internal and external customers and/or vendors; conduct oneself in a professional and businesslike manner to reflect the Clearwater River Casino and Lodge's high standard of excellence; use of proper interpersonal skills when dealing with customers and team members.
Prepares drinks with proper portions and ingredients.
Maintain daily pour cost, inventory and cleanliness of work area.
Secure all alcohol on premise before leaving work station for the night.
Finishes all duty check off list supplied by management.
Prepare and report nightly inventory and report it to appropriate F&B management.
Operates cash register and point of sales system (POS) cash handling beverage and food transactions associated with bar sales.
Keeps the bar stocked and ready for guests at all times. Slices and pits fruit for garnishing drinks according to cut and par specifications. Washes and stocks glassware and utensils.
Applies positive communication and maintains respectful control over guests.
Adheres to and promotes compliance with applicable laws, safety codes, employee handbook, Vehicle Use Maintenance Manual, Finance Manual and department policies and procedures.
Must have a positive work history; responsible for maintaining a consistent and regular attendance record; must be able to work varying shifts, weekends, and holidays.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Three (3) months full service bartender experience required.
- Restaurant experience preferred.
- Must be 19 years of age.
- Must be able to obtain a valid health card and attend TIPS Training or Alcohol Servers Training within three (3) months of hire date.
Must be willing to submit pre-employment drug and alcohol test.
