GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF CLASS
The purpose of this position is to perform maintenance and repair functions on video gaming machines. Responsibilities include tools, equipment, and guest service. The position is under the supervision of the VGM Manager and/or Head Machine Technician.
ESSENTIAL TASKS
The tasks listed below are those that represent the majority of the time spent working in this class. Management may assign additional tasks related to the type of work of the class as necessary.
Provide regular preventative maintenance to equipment, including cleaning, and scheduled inspections.
Assists Head Technician on maintenance of video gaming machine electronics, installation, and removal of machines.
Assists Lead/Head Machine Technician in company projects, modifications, and maintenance of VGM equipment.
Troubleshoots and repairs all electronic equipment relative to the VGM Department.
Researches and diagnoses VGM equipment malfunctions.
Verifies jackpots and hand pays, providing good guest service to all guests.
Maintains a clean and safe environment for team members and guests. Reports unsafe conditions and
team members or guest accidents to a supervisor, Security or the casino shift manager immediately.
Communicates effectively with department team members and other departments.
Maintains a clean and well-groomed appearance adhering to casino dress code. Maintains a manner of professional conduct.
Understands and carries out detailed instructions. Understands and follows all departmental, regulatory policies and procedures.
Provides courteous professional services and is cordial to internal and external customers and/or vendors; conduct oneself in a professional and businesslike manner to reflect the Clearwater River Casino and Lodge's high standard of excellence; use of proper interpersonal skills when dealing with customers and team members.
Adheres to and promotes compliance with applicable laws, safety codes, employee handbook, Vehicle Use Maintenance Manual, Finance Manual and department policies and procedures.
Requirements
- Gaming machine experience preferred.
- Electronic and mechanical experience preferred.
- High school diploma or GED required. Must have excellent communication skills, both oral and written, and ability to handle conflict and problem resolution in a professional manner.
Must be willing to submit pre-employment drug and alcohol test. Must be able to pass background check to obtain a Nez Perce Tribal Gaming License.
