Position Summary:
As an Account Manager, you will serve as the primary point of contact for our customers, ensuring their needs are met and their expectations exceeded. You will oversee the entire lifecycle of customer projects, from initial inquiry to delivery, while working closely with internal teams to coordinate production schedules and resolve any issues that arise. This role requires a balance of technical thinking, problem-solving, and hands-on management. Additionally, you will actively seek opportunities to grow customer accounts and contribute to business development initiatives in some of our target markets, including industrial applications, precision manufacturing, and consumer products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers acting as their advocate within the company.
- Manage customer accounts, including project timelines, quotes and deliverables.
- Actively identify and pursue opportunities to upsell or cross-sell additional products and services to customers.
- Collaborate with internal teams (production, engineering, quality control) to ensure smooth project execution.
- Monitor and address customer concerns, resolving issues promptly and effectively.
- Prepare and present regular updates to customers on project status and performance.
- Maintain accurate records of customer communications, quotes, and project documentation.
- Stay informed about industry trends and market developments to better serve customer needs.
- Support business development efforts by identifying potential new customers or markets within the engineering, precision manufacturing and industrial sectors.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Proven experience 5 years in account management, sales, or customer service, preferably in manufacturing, materials or a related industry with technical or product emphasis.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport quickly.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities, with a keen eye for detail.
- Problem-solving mindset with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Familiarity with manufacturing processes and supply chain management is a plus.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $80,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
