Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Engineering Operations Manager to oversee and enhance our design and construction team in our Road and Bridge Department. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Civil Engineering to engage and manage the daily operation to survey, design, permit, right-of-way acquisition, and monitor the construction of roads, ditches, and bridges.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage daily operations to ensure efficiency and effectiveness in all processes.
- Oversee project scheduling and resource allocation to meet project deadlines.
- Lead engineering team on survey, design, permitting, right-of-way acquisition, and construction inspection.
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders to facilitate collaboration across departments and agencies.
Qualifications
- The minimum qualifications are for completion of a two-year college or vocational civil engineering curriculum, and over four years’ experience related to civil engineering in surveying, design, and inspection of civil engineering projects.
- Class D driver’s license is required and the ability to obtain MnDOT inspection certifications..
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and other relevant software tools.
- Strong understanding of civil engineering practices to design and construct roads and bridges.
- Strong construction management and inspection skill to work with contractors to insure our projects are constructed to specifications and standards.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to think critically under pressure.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide teams toward common goals.
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to present complex information clearly.

Pay: $40.93 - $52.52 per hour
