Deputy Assessor

Job Overview
Applications are being accepted for a Deputy Assessor position, under the general supervision of the County Assessor. This position performs a variety of property appraisal tasks including: viewing, inspection, valuation, and classification of property for tax purposes, updating department records pertaining to current assessments and property data and responding to information requests regarding property value, classification, and taxes.

Responsibilities

This position is also responsible for responding to concerns regarding assessments and interpreting regulations and statutes to seek and resolve disagreements and disputes, reviewing and analyzing Clearwater County property sales data as a resource for determine assessments and utilizing maps and other technologies to complete assessment work.

Requirements

Applicant must have a high school diploma or equivalent and minimum of 2 years additional education; be a Certified Minnesota Assessor (CMA) or have a minimum 2 year's assessment, real estate or appraiser experience preferred but not required. Must have a valid driver's license. Experience using a computer and Microsoft Office is required. Must be proficient in computer skills and willing to learn various software applications.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $26.76 - $34.66 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
