A pool construction technician is responsible for assisting in the building of swimming pools, including tasks like excavating the pool site, installing pool shells, plumbing lines, electrical wiring, coping, tile, and pool equipment, ensuring proper construction techniques and adherence to building codes throughout the process, while maintaining safety standards on the job site.
Key responsibilities may include:

• Site preparation: Grading the pool area, digging the pool excavation, and installing necessary support structures.
• Pool shell installation: Unloading and positioning the pool shell, aligning and securing it according to blueprints.
• Plumbing installation: Installing pipes for water circulation, drains, returns, and skimmer lines, ensuring proper connections and slopes.
• Electrical wiring: Running electrical conduit and wiring for pool lights, pumps, and other equipment.
• Concrete work: Pouring and finishing concrete for pool decks, coping, and steps.
• Tile installation: Installing pool tile on the walls and steps, ensuring proper alignment and grouting.
• Equipment installation: Installing pool pumps, filters, heaters, and other related equipment.
• Water testing and balancing: Initial water fill and chemical balancing to ensure proper pool chemistry.
• Quality control: Inspecting work throughout the construction process to meet quality standards.
• Clean-up and site restoration: Removing debris, cleaning up the work area, and finalizing the pool site.

Required skills and qualifications:
