We are seeking a highly skilled Wind Technician to join our team at Clearway Energy Group. As a Wind Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining the mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical components of wind turbines.
Job Description:
- Maintain safe working practices and ensure a safe working environment.
- Assist in the performance of wind turbine mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical component maintenance.
- Document all work performed using computer-based service reporting procedures.
- Troubleshoot and repair SCADA communication systems.
- Operate and maintain a service vehicle.
- Maintain hand tools in good working order.
Requirements:
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required; ability to obtain within 6 months of employment.
- Able to climb towers unassisted up to 300 feet.
- Possess demonstrable mechanical aptitude and basic electrical knowledge.
- Able to safely work in a wide range of adverse climates and environments.
- Able to travel as required.
