POSITION SUMMARY:
Take charge of reviewing and optimizing pharmacy processes, ensuring regulatory compliance, and improving overall efficiency at client site locations. Your responsibilities include identifying, planning, organizing, and developing action plans to optimize both retail and specialty pharmacy services. Focus on evaluating existing processes, introducing measurable metrics, and implementing quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient-focused services. Actively contribute to the development and implementation of plans to establish new pharmacies at client sites, playing a pivotal role in building the foundations for operational excellence.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:
- Assist in analyzing retail and specialty pharmacy operations on-site, streamlining processes, and implementing solutions for improved efficiency.
- Ensure pharmacy compliance with regulations, standards, and best practices.
- Create dashboards with quality assurance measures to monitor and ensure pharmacy performance.
- Support the development and execution of a comprehensive plan for standing up a pharmacy, considering compliance, efficiency, and strategic goals.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define scope, timelines, and resource requirements for pharmacy establishment.
- Provide consultative support during pharmacy implementation, covering design, technology selection, and business operations.
- Partner with cross-functional teams for a cohesive and successful pharmacy implementation, involving architects, contractors, IT professionals, and vendors.
EDUCATION:
- A bachelor's degree in business administration, healthcare administration or a related field is required. In the absence of a diploma, 5 years of relevant experience may be considered.

EXPERIENCE:
- A minimum of 3 years of experience working in a specialty pharmacy organization or an accreditation body (such as URAC, ACHC, Joint Commission) is required.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
- Possess extensive knowledge of specialty pharmacy operations and regulatory requirements.
- Demonstrate a track record of successfully launching and establishing specialty pharmacies.
- Exhibit strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective interaction at all organizational levels.
- Showcase robust project management and organizational skills.
- Emphasize attention to detail, with a focus on accuracy and compliance.
- Display adaptability and effective change management abilities.
- Excel in analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiently use Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Special Working Conditions (On-call, travel, shift, coverage):
- Travel as required up to 20% domestically to support new, existing, or potential client locations to perform onsite pharmacy assessments and formulate action plans for optimization.
