Forklift Driver/Material Handler

Overview:

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Material Handler to join our SECOND SHIFT team. The Shipping Materials Handler is responsible for ensuring accuracy of orders, movement of product, and proper preparation of materials and parts going out. This position requires an exceptional attention to detail; organizational sense; strong English reading and writing skills; and following supervisor instructions.

Duties:

· Maintain safety requirements, wearing proper PPE

· Ability to safely lift and carry materials and boxes up to 50 pounds

· Ability to read pick lists and shipping documents in English

· Verification of quantity, matching labels, and complete orders prior to shipping

· Identify correct clamp rings/PCRs and verify inclusion with orders

· Prepare orders for shipping including making boxes, wrapping racks, checking labels, re-racking when needed

· Forklift certification required

· Demonstrate competence with standard packaging tools and equipment

· Knowledge of how to use a tape measure

· Ability to work mostly independently, without constant supervision

· Initiative to ask questions when help is genuinely required

· Advise supervisor of any inaccuracies or discrepancies with orders

· Team collaboration and respect of others

· Willingness to be cross-trained for other functions as needed

· Able to lift up to 60lb

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $19.00 per hour
