CLEARING HEAVY EQUIPMENT OPERATOR

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Equipment Operator to join the clearing division. The ideal candidate will have experience in operating various heavy machinery and a strong understanding of construction site operations. The Clearing Operator is responsible for using excavators and wheel loaders to clear land, remove debris, and prepare construction sites or other areas for development. This role involves operating heavy machinery to efficiently move soil, rocks, tree stumps, and other materials, all while following safety standards and operational guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Operate machinery to clear vegetation, debris, rocks, and other materials from sites.
• Perform tasks like grading, leveling, digging, and removing stumps or obstacles.
• Follow plans and instructions to complete work as required.
• Inspect equipment daily and report any issues for repair.
• Perform basic maintenance on machinery when needed.
• Work with supervisors and team members to meet project goals.
• Follow safety protocols and wear required protective gear.
• Keep records of activities, materials moved, and hours worked.
• Assist in preparing the site for further construction.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.

Requirements

• Experience and Knowledge of excavation, clearing, and site preparation.
• Ability to operate machinery safely and efficiently.
• Understands site plans and instructions.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Basic equipment maintenance and troubleshooting skills.
• Physically fit to work in different weather conditions, terrains, and for extended hours.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 45 per week
