We are seeking a reliable and experienced Road Tractor Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting materials safely and efficiently across designated routes, ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to all traffic regulations and company policies.
Primary Functions:
· Ensure the truck is always fueled and ready for operation.
· Communicate potential delays to management promptly.
· Complete, store, and submit all required documentation accurately.
· Track reasonable expenses and submit receipts for reimbursement.
· Report vehicle-related issues for urgent attention.
· Utilize GPS equipment effectively.
· Comply with all road and transport regulations.
· Drive safely in varying weather conditions and at all times of day.
· Load and unload equipment and materials as needed.
· Report road incidents to the dispatcher immediately.
· Complete pre and post trip inspections document any issues.
· Follow established accident procedures.
· Maintain an accurate activity log and record hours worked.
· Report mechanical problems to the internal shop for resolution.
Qualifications:
· Must hold a valid CDL with at least 5 years of driving experience.
· Clean driving record is essential.
· Successful completion of a road test.
· Must pass a pre-employment drug screening.
· Medical Certificate (Med Card) is required.
