What are the responsibilities and job description for the Executive Director Business Development, National Accounts position at Clemens Food Group?
The Director Business Development, National Accounts will be tasked with bringing in new opportunities in the National Account channel. This role will focus on initial discovery into new opportunities, telling the Clemens story, coordinating RFPs, and creating and executing the right strategy to win National Account business. Relationships will be built with key customer decision makers and ultimately handed off as the relationship matures. This role is right for an experienced and outgoing foodservice sales professional who is aggressive and loves the thrill of "the hunt".
Performance Management
- Input all activity into CRM and maintain data accuracy through periodic updates
- Execute against one page plan
- Oversee product-focused projects (including product roll outs)
- Oversee broker management where applicable
- Oversee inventory management, forecasting, and customer service levels for assigned accounts, working with Business Manager to ensure execution
- Understand product attributes, and basics of CFG business to ensure that new business is financially viable
- Guide internal processes for Product Development related to new opportunities
- Hold customer and internal team accountable to project deadlines
Relationship Development
- Facilitate and lead top-top meetings and corporate interactions
- Maintain relationships with key account decision makers
- Establish content for presentations to engage key targets
- Use discovery skills to determine ways to achieve new business
- Aggressively pursue networking opportunities that could lead to new business
- Lead internal meetings for strategic planning to penetrate new customer segments annually
- Coordinate CFG participation in key National Account Foodservice events
- Attend industry and strategic events
Team CFG
- Attend internal meetings (Training, Sales, Budget, Planning, Business Reviews, Level 10, etc.)
- Report progress to Director of Nat Accts
- Work on CFG Special projects
- Pursue personal development and growth
