What are the responsibilities and job description for the Regional Veterinarian position at Clemens Food Group?
Country View Family Farms is seeking a Swine Veterinarian to serve our Indiana region (based out of Hagerstown, IN). In this role, you will be responsible for leading all Animal Health and Welfare activities and veterinary support of our sow system from farrow to finish. Enjoy our progressive operations including electronic sow feeding (ESF), top-notch biosecurity practices and open pen gestation. You will report to the Vice President of IN/NC Hog Production and will be a vital team member in our daily operations, managing and providing oversight of all heard health programs within your region.

- Develop and implement health improvement plans for sow, nursery and finish sites.
- Lead and monitor sow, nursery and finishing medication and vaccination programs.
- Perform direct observations of animals on farm to monitor health status and animal wellbeing.
- Order and monitor all region's diagnostics.
- Monitor budget and forecast results monthly.
- Manage and maintain pharmaceutical company relationships.
- Build and upload training modules.
- Review and approve animal health and care SOP's.
- Coordinate and facilitate bio-security activities.
- Budget and forecast medications, vaccinations, animal welfare and veterinarian services quarterly.
- Provide hands-on training to production team on health and welfare programs.
- Participate and represent CVFF in industry animal care groups.
- You have a Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine (or equivalent with the ability to attain veterinary licenses in our states of business).
- You have the ability to: set, pursue and attain goals regardless of obstacles or circumstance.
- You can: analyze all aspects of a situation to gain thorough insight to make decisions; identify and evaluate resources; apply problem solving abilities; be objective and fairly evaluate the different aspects of a situation.
- You are able to establish a process for activities that lead to the implementation of systems, procedures or outcomes.
- You are available for travel 1 week per month (approximately).
