Risk Specialist

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Risk Specialist to join our highly collaborative, cross-functional team. This critical role provides expertise and support across various domains, including insurance management, corporate governance, regulatory compliance, capital structure management, mergers and acquisitions (M&A), and litigation.

As a Risk Specialist, you will work independently and with diverse partners, such as finance, sales, operations, IT, human resources, insurance brokers, outside counsel, and auditors. You’ll bring intellectual curiosity, sound judgment, and a results-driven approach to ensure compliance, risk mitigation, and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities :

Insurance & Risk Management :

• Collaborate with insurance brokers to manage all coverage lines.
• Lead the renewal process for expiring policies, gathering and organizing necessary information.
• Handle aspects of major insurance claims, including recovery and information sharing.
• Process and formalize Certificate of Insurance requests across departments.
• Resolve minor general liability consumer complaints with internal and external partners.
• File and manage annual business license and permit renewals.
• Ensure timely payment of insurance bills and track actual spending against the budget.
