Clement Manor is a faith-based independent living, assisted living, CBRF and long term care community, nationally recognized for providing a superior quality environment for older adults. We are seeking an experienced, compassionate, and dynamic Lead Caregiver for our Assisted Living to join our team. This individual will play a pivotal role in supporting the care needs of our residents, overseeing caregiving staff, and ensuring a safe, enriching, and high-quality living environment. The Lead Caregiver will work closely with residents, families, and other team members to ensure the highest standards of care are met.
The hours for this position are 2nd Shift 2:45pm-11:15pm, 64hrs Bi-Weekly. This position also requires an every other weekend and every other holiday rotation.
Key Responsibilities:
Resident Care:
- Provide direct, hands-on care to residents, including assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility.
- Administer medications as prescribed, following established procedures for medication management.
- Monitor and record vital signs, weight, and other important health data.
- Observe and document any changes in residents' health or behavior, reporting concerns to the appropriate team members.
Leadership & Supervision:
- Lead and supervise a team of caregivers, ensuring adherence to care plans, safety protocols, and resident needs.
- Train, mentor, and provide ongoing support to caregiving staff, fostering a collaborative, respectful environment.
- Assist with scheduling and managing caregiver shifts to ensure proper coverage and staffing.
Life Enrichment:
- Support residents in participating in life enrichment activities that promote physical, emotional, and social well-being.
- Encourage residents to engage in their hobbies and interests, ensuring they feel valued and included.
Safety & Compliance:
- Adhere to all safety protocols, including standard precautions, fire safety, and first aid/choking procedures.
- Ensure the environment remains safe and secure for residents, staff, and visitors.
Collaboration & Communication:
- Collaborate with other team members, including nurses, social workers, and family members, to ensure a coordinated approach to care.
- Actively communicate with residents, families, and team members to address concerns and provide support.
Quality Service:
- Uphold the facility's commitment to providing high-quality care that is compassionate, dignified, and respectful.
- Assist in the development and implementation of individualized care plans to meet residents' unique needs and preferences.
Qualifications:
Required Certifications:
- CBRF Certification (including Standard Precautions, Fire Safety, First Aid & Choking, and Medication Administration) or CNA license & Medication Administration
Experience:
- Previous experience in an assisted living or caregiving role, preferably in a lead or supervisory capacity.
- Experience in medication administration and care plan implementation.
