We are seeking a compassionate, visionary, and experienced Director of Nursing (DON) to join our leadership team. This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the quality of care delivered in our facility and to lead a team of dedicated healthcare professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage all aspects of nursing services, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate nursing policies, procedures, and standards of care.
- Lead, mentor, and support a team of nursing staff, fostering professional development and a positive work culture.
- Collaborate with executive, quality assurance, and interdisciplinary teams to provide exceptional care to residents across the continuum of care.
- Monitor and manage staffing levels, ensuring appropriate coverage to meet resident needs.
- Oversee infection control, quality assurance, and risk management initiatives.
- Communicate with residents, families, and staff to address concerns, collaborate & provide education, and ensure satisfaction.
- Stay current with industry trends and best practices to maintain the highest standards of care.
Qualifications:
- Active RN license in, in good standing.
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) required; Master’s degree in Nursing or Healthcare Administration preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of nursing leadership experience in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting.
- Strong knowledge of federal and state regulations, including CMS guidelines.
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to foster teamwork and build relationships with staff, residents, and families.
- Wound Care Certification preferred
