Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and coordinate the movement of military supplies and equipment between locations.
- Maintain detailed records of incoming and outgoing shipments, including inventory control and stock management.
- Ensure all logistical operations comply with military regulations and standards.
- Manage procurement processes, ensuring timely supply orders and deliveries.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including military personnel, vendors, and contractors, to streamline logistical processes.
- Monitor and report on transportation costs, and implement strategies for cost reduction.
- Develop contingency plans for emergency logistics support during military operations.
- Handle the storage and distribution of hazardous materials and equipment in compliance with safety regulations.
- Track and resolve any supply chain discrepancies or delays, ensuring minimal disruption to Army operations.
- Conduct regular audits of inventory and supplies to ensure accuracy and readiness.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in logistics, supply chain management, or related field (preferably within a military setting).
- Familiarity with military logistics and transportation protocols.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Proficient in logistics software and systems (e.g., ERP, inventory management software).
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams, including military personnel and civilian contractors.
- Attention to detail and the ability to manage large-scale supply chains.
- Security clearance may be required, depending on contract specifics.
